Description

Delightful mini heart-shaped cookies filled with a creamy frosting, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla, and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just blended.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  7. Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool on wire racks.
  10. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract to make frosting.
  11. Spread frosting on half of the cookies and sandwich with the remaining cookies.
