- 3 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil the potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain and mash the potatoes in a large bowl.
- Add milk, sour cream, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Fold in half of the cheddar cheese, bacon, and green onions.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
