Description

Delicious stuffed mushrooms filled with savory sausage and spices, perfect for appetizers or party treats.


Ingredients

  • 12 large button mushrooms
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems.
  3. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, black pepper, salt, red pepper flakes, oregano, and the beaten egg until well combined.
  6. Stuff each mushroom cap with the sausage mixture.
  7. Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, use hot Italian sausage.
  • Can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
