- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and cocoa powder.
- Add milk and butter, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Boil for 5 minutes without stirring, then remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and nuts if using.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan and let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
