- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the peanut butter and chocolate chips.
- Drop large spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can merge some melted chocolate with the peanut butter topping.
- Store cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
