Description

These Caprese Skewers are a delightful appetizer that combines fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant basil, drizzled with a rich balsamic reduction.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the balsamic vinegar to a simmer over medium heat. Cook until it has reduced by half and thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. On small skewers or toothpicks, thread a cherry tomato, a basil leaf, and a mozzarella ball. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  3. Drizzle the skewers with olive oil and the balsamic reduction. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes
